Let's face it, the Heir was raving.  Main Team One is the worst team in baseball, just not record-wise.  The Heir turned off in the 5th when Masahiro Tanaka allowed two home runs for the game tied at 6 after Main Team led 6-0.  But what made him turn off was the fact that when Tanaka allowed 6-5 Main Team didn't have anyone warming up in the bullpen.  They were all just a sitting duck.  I the Mentor pointed out that you got to lose the battle to win the war, in case they need to rest their bullpen, but the Heir had none of it.  He believes they're losing both the battle *and* the war, being stuck at 2 in the AL East, and they're not rising up anytime soon.  Maybe Main Team One could still win the game after all, but they lost at least one listener for the day: The Heir @ #worstteamever

This thing with taking down the Confederate Flag, the Heir was musing, he shares the cynicism of those who believe that politicians in favor of it may wish to sidestep race issues entirely, and possibly pretend that taking down the flag somehow means that mission is accomplished.  Very easy thing to do, very symbolic, and the politicians don't have to face difficult issues which may not always have a clear answer.  Another reservation the Heir has, which he doesn't want Sonya and Naomi to know about (too late Heir, they're reading this), that as divisive as the flag is, is about the potential for censorship.  He wonders whether we're going to use CGI to repaint the General Lee in the Dukes Of Hazzard in Special Edition DVDs.  We may repaint the flag with a Barney-ish Pokemon type flag, and the confederate march in the car horn will probably replace with the chortle of a Model T Ford.  Because let's not stop there.  The Confederate march will be seen as a reference to the southern side in the Civil War, possibly also socially offensive now.  So when the car swings into action to save the townspeople from the corruption of Boss Hogg, you won't hear a heroic fanfare, you'll hear the choking chortle, hardly something that the characters get their hopes high on.  We'll see soon enough.

It's that time of year when new episodes are slow to come out, because we're having too much fun at the beach conformant with Naomi's and Sonya's preferred dress code.  But with the beach, the Heir's get-a-room tent had just arrived, so he's looking into testing putting it up and taking it down this evening, and figuring out how to get it on our beach handtruck.  The box that arrived was lighter than he thought.  It was supposed to be 10 pounds, but it feels more like 5 pounds.  Also it seems short enough folded up that it should go on the truck no problem, taking up no more room than the screen does on 70 degree rough-it days.  Heir only wants to put either the screen or the tent on the truck, not both, so he has to ascertain in the parking lot how much he needs the screen that day.  If he doesn't need the screen, it's the tent.

The Heir noticed that among the two words the central government in Beijing used to describe U.S. accusations that hackers in China broke into records of Federal workers, neither of those was the word "wrong."  He's pretty sure they cannot bring themselves to use the word wrong, and they can't outright deny the hackings such as, "We absolutely did not hack into your Federal records."  Sure that's not an admission of guilt, but if they didn't do it, you'd expect them to actually say, we didn't do it.  On the other hand, they're never going to say, OK you got us, we did it.  But they had to say something, at least to sustain the America's Always Wrong spirit of a post Section 215 world.  {China Never Explicitly Said Hackings Accusations Are Wrong @ #nationalprinciple}

The Heir thought that the FBI spokesperson left it way too open for the Ed Snowdens on the CIS this morning.  The CIS asked her to respond to America's Always Wrong (AAW) allegations that the FBI's investigations into FIFA are politically motivated, and she ended up giving a speech to the effect of making the world safe for democracy and implied that Funny Named Skinny Kid was on board with that sentiment even though the CIS didn't ask her about Funny Named.  The Ed Snowdens will continue on with See I Told You So in response to the spokesperson's unintended reference to Woodrow Wilson, whose actions regarding the League Of Nations preceded World War II.  The Heir thought she should have been schooled beforehand on every single AAW accusation that exists, so that her response will always be a thought-terminator for the Ed Snowdens, to the point that their responses in turn will look like whiny bitching.  {Need Better Schooling On The Ed Snowdens In Your FIFA Arrest Interviews @ #nationalprinciple}

So two days after the Heir got me the Mentor to create the National Principle label here on this shares base, we hear accusations that the U.S. is only going after corrupt officials in FIFA as part of colonialism or as part of expanding jurisdiction.  The Heir thinks the accusers are pulling that out of their butt as part of their America Is Always Wrong campaign, because they don't believe they have to prove their accusations or present probable cause.  Their stance is, they said it, you should believe it, that settles it.  The fact is, there's nothing inherently controversial about the arrests, but the expiration of Section 215, as bad as an idea as it was, seems to have given grist to critics who seem to have the attitude of, OK let's *really* hand it to them now.  So if anyone thinks Ed Snowden hasn't done damage, think again.  And that's the Heir's take today.  {There's No Controversy In The FIFA Arrests @ #nationalprinciple}

Now that Section 215 has expired, the Heir announces his followup on his declarations here a couple days ago.  And that's in the form of something he calls National Principle, which is now listed on this shares base for your convenience.  The Heir has decided not to wait until the USA Freedom Act gets decided on, because National Principle is the beginning of the end of Ed Snowden's celebrity cult, and the beginning of the end of the idea that the ends justify the means, and that two wrongs make it right.  The Heir also sees an absolute connection between the celebrity-cult-based-activism of today symbolized by Ed Snowden, and the new puerile squares-and-circles designs of today's web sites, among other things.  So he's also added a hash tag here for #classicweb, in addition to #snowdenwatch, and of course, #nationalprinciple.  And the Heir now thinks of the likes of Ed Snowden as the new Pat Robertson.

The Heir has a big surprise for Ed Snowden once the spying provisions of the Patriot Act expire on June 1st.  Ed Snowden according to one of his proteges in the media, the Guardian UK, indicates that the expirations are only the beginning.  He means to say that they're only the beginning of the expansion of his activist celebrity, when in fact it's the beginning of the end of said celebrity.  The Heir will make sure of that, through expanded discussion both on audio and this announcements base, to remind the world, and specifically his followers, in both the citizenry and the media, that his motives are not so heroic, and won't be any more now than they were during I Already Won.  The Heir will remind everyone that Ed Snowden does not sincerely care about privacy rights, that he made a mockery of the information process by emphasizing the practice of hearsay, and that he promoted such anathemas as It's All About Me and The Ends Justify The Means.  As the spying provisions have their sunset clause, so do those 2010s things the Snowden personality cult has a clear adherence to, such as Guy Fawkes masks, romper room circle-and-square designs of "Web 2.0," and forced obsolescence.  These things will not last, and when they meet their final end, we will then rewind the tape, and wonder why we ever upheld or tolerated those things now.  Trust The Heir On This One People It's Going To Happen @ #snowdenwatch #keepamericasafe #nationalprinciple #convictions #theupcomingpostguyfawkesmaskera
