Tropical Soulvangelical isn't used to our current level of commentary this week. We put out at least four base shares in this time, and here comes the fifth one or so. TSV felt like he had to address the things we talked about in the four base shares when he wanted to talk about Jordan Neely. Now here's his chance. So he did research on the lawsuit Neely's family filed shortly after Daniel Penny was acquitted on homicide charges in 2023. TSV researched partly through A.I. that the lawsuit is still active, and that a hearing is scheduled on June 10 to create a schedule that TSV believes creates a rough outline for the process of the lawsuit in court. He originally wanted to create a concept-of-principle based declaration but he wants to let the lawsuit move forward just in case it comes to a point where such a declaration would be made unnecessary. That's what he hopes will happen, but he's got the declaration generally ready to go otherwise. It was partially the Jordan Neely case that got TSV to have to tell the judge at jury duty that he doesn't believe the system works. He was really nervous with his voice shaking, because despite his severist outlook on things like God's Court laying down judgment on people like -trump- or Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake, though Alex Murdaugh TSV figures is pretty much toast in the courts down here on Earth, he carries himself with a quiet humility mainly out of self-defense. He's not going to tell people what to do because that would, among other things, bring him into unnecessary conflicts, unless those people actually do ask him to tell them what to do, which of course never happens. That's almost TSV's nearly Buddhist question-and-answer approach to such interactions. That doesn't mean he "approves" of other people not always living by right he believes they are religiously obligated to do, even atheists or secularists, but it's just that -they- have to ask him whether what they're doing is right or wrong, and then he'll tell them. But a court environment is a very serious one indeed, so when the judge required TSV to tell him the honest truth about the fact that the system doesn't work, TSV really had no choice to tell the judge accordingly as respectfully as possible. He doesn't think that just because the human halls of justice are mostly dysfunctional that that means he can outright mock or disrepect them. He's looking for those one or two exceptions that'll prove him wrong about what he told the judge, and he hopes that the Neely suit as eventually structured by the June 10 hearing will be one of them. He does suggest to the Neely family that they don't limit their lawsuit to Daniel Penny, but also make a filing of complaints against the jurisdiction that acquitted Penny in criminal court making a civil suit necessary. The criminal case as it had proceeded TSV believes is profoundly defective and should not go unchallenged or unreviewed. If it does, that's where his concept-of-principle-as-obligated-by-God declaration may take place.

Tropical Soulvangalical saw with the Biden's tracker about how Biden apparently made tribute to Colbert for Colbert's last night. TSV didn't directly see the tribute on Biden's -own- feed, so all he has is that one post on the tracker to go by. There's also no info on the yuk-it-up pic in the tracker between Colbert and Biden, so TSV's inclined to believe that it must have been AI'd, seeing how Colbert joined in on the War On Biden starting in 7/24 that he admitted such when Karine Jean Pierre reverse-interviewed him on his own show. TSV's fully aware that both men are devout Catholics and as such hold fast to the concept of forgiveness. TSV isn't so forgiving in general, since he's generally observed that in a society that's as inherently corrupt as ours, forgiveness gets taken as a form of weakness, and most public figures that are "forgiven" are only encouraged to engage in further wrongdoing and bad behavior. TSV doesn't see that as particularly constructive. Sure, he observes, one can argue that forgiveness heals the soul, but he then asks, how about the soul of our national culture? Only the concept of principle and our getting back on the righteous path after taking the wrong fork in the road when we got the post-pandemic vaccine will "heal" the country, not forgiveness by itself. That probably explains why TSV is non-denominational/deist and not a Catholic. He respects some aspects of Catholicism, including the Pope himself, but he thinks it misses the point on too many fronts in current events. So just because Biden and Colbert might have been pictured together in the tracker as an apparent show of supposed forgiveness on Biden's part toward Colbert, that just does not make it binding on TSV to somehow "drop" his objections. He'll continue those objections until the main Donkeys recant and repent their War On Biden. That's the only thing that will clear the air. He's not going to be manipulated away from the righteous path with symbolic shows of things that offer illusions and false arguments about what he's "supposed" to do or not do.

Here comes another double feature of a base share on our part. This is about the Long Island Railroad Strike and the issue of gerrymandering. Where the strike is concerned, Tropical Soulvangelical was able to call Bernie out on his obstensibly misleading statement that he blocked a proposal in Congress to force the workers to make a settlement with the MTA. He kind of accidentally did it via AI, though in keeping up on how Papua New Guinea wants to use AI within the cultural context of their country rather than that of the Bladerunner West, he also wants to find out how to use AI in a more green fashion somehow. But because Bernie's a political ambulance chaser, TSV wanted to know whether he meddled outside his home state of Vermont to intricate himself in the strike. AI came back and talked about a claim about Bernie blocking the aforementioned proposal. TSV then asked AI, well how about my Senators and Congresswoman, and how about those Senators TSV deems as part of the #SpiritOf46? AI said that it couldn't find any statements or votes by said persons on the strike, and that TSV should check roll calls from 5/14-17 on congress.gov. TSV did so and came up empty. He didn't exactly went through with a fine tooth comb, but he doesn't feel like he had to -if- said proposal was formally introduced in the Senate. He believes he would have seen some kind of meaningful heading in the site search results. That leaves two possibilities for TSV. Either said "proposal" was the kind of backroom discussion that doesn't immediately make it into a vote, and hence a roll call of some sort via congress.gov, -or- Bernie was just making it up. In giving Bernie the benefit of a doubt, TSV entertained the possibility that Bernie's proposal blockage was part of the backroom discussion as is the proposal that was supposedly blocked. Since neither would make it and -didn't- make it on congress.gov, it's impossible to independently verify Bernie's claims, which as per his wont is the way he kind of prefers it. Just like -trump- himself, Bernie doesn't want to be questioned. TSV figures that Bernie made the blockage claim to try to embarrass Kathy Hochul whom TSV observed via newsradio as making the unforced error of attacking the workers and feeling like she had to take the side of the MTA instead of providing neutral reassurance of some sort. Being a member of the food union as per his job on the Bland Barns Catering Counter, TSV takes the general side of the workers, and wants both the MTA and Kathy Hochul to provide some sort of mathematical substantiation that the workers were asking for too much money instead of just running around going, "oh they're asking for too much money!" TSV also wants the unions to also be substantive in making it clear how their demands are actually reasonable, which being a union member himself, TSV wants to believe. But this is otherwise for TSV yet another example of having to go None Of The Above with respect to the lame trifecta of Trumpy/Bernie/Clooney, because -trump- also got involved as TSV also heard on newsradio. TSV wants to monitor the situation beyond all the political noise both via newsradio and the appropriate wiki's articles. But he still says, foo on Bernie for again not being all that different from Ol'Trumpy and Clooney/Hochul in terms of political lameness.

Gerrymandering. Is. Bad. Tropical Soulvangelical doesn't think anyone's going to argue with that, but with the primary election in his district, he was mailed an alarmist pamphlet from one of the contenders regarding gerrymandering. The contender made a vague promise that he will supposedly fight the "good fight" with respect to generalized issues including gerrymandering. Because TSV had already voted, the only thing that would convince him that he made the wrong choice in going for the #SpiritOf46 candidate is if any of the contenders actually substantively said amidst their pamphlets something to the effect of, "vote for us, and we'll do our part to support lowering gas prices and health insurance costs," Basic Ben Franklin (via the concept of "self interest"), but none have done so. There's only about two weeks left, and the Bernie/Clooney contenders have said nothing relevant or substantive accordingly. TSV figures the anti-gerrymandering contender talked about gerrymandering because he, too, had nothing substantive to offer in the way of economics, and hence he had to resort to alarmism and emotional language because that's all that contender's got. Gerrymandering, like -trump- himself, TSV finds is a very convenient distraction, because it uses ambiguity and mirror logic. It depends on the point of view, and this is outside of the Supreme Court striking down Virginia's proposed redistricting. But the way TSV figures, let's say you have Figure A and Figure B in a given district. Figure A claims that the district is gerrymandered toward the benefit of Figure B, and Figure B replies that Figure A is just being a spoilsport. And then you supposedly "ungerrymander" the district, and the result benefits Figure A. And then it's -Figure B- that comes back and says, oh the district is gerrymandered for the benefit of Figure A, and then it's Figure A that replies that it's Figure B who's now being the spoilsport. So who's right and who's wrong? There's no answer to that, so TSV figures that any alarmism vulnerable members of the populace will just go down the rabbit hole without -ever- saying, "...wait a minute, how does it make sense?" TSV has already made everyone's head explode with talking about two separate issues, so he's going to have to put off talking about the Supreme Court and Justice For Jordan Neely till "manana."

Tropical Soulvangelical wants me the Happy Bachelor to write both about our local election and TSV having to do jury duty last month. We're going to write about those things separately. In this base share, we get to talk about who TSV voted for in the local primary. He went in looking for the #SpiritOf46 candidate, and subsequently he found that person. He put that person in his mail-in ballot a few days ago as of this share, but he still expects to get political ads till the "official" date in early June. It's kind of his way of figuring out who's going to be the "primary" candidate who's expected to win in November, hence making May-June the real contest for where we live. He reasonably doesn't think his choice is going to make it because it's a field of 10-20 candidates ranging from Antibiden Alarmist to Bernie Bro to some other power base. So whoever is going to win the primary he wants to write to that person's campaign with congratulations but letting them know that he did not vote for that person and the concept of principle for which he voted with the #SpiritOf46. He wants the victor to reach out to him with said concept of principle instead of -only- championing the 51 percent prevailing philosophy that gave that person the victory. He's heard about the "dangers" against democracy implying that the only threat to democracy is -trump-, and hence it's otherwise all hunky-dory, contrary to common sense observations. To only champion the 51 percent prevailing philosophy he considers itself to be at least as undemocratic as -trump- is. And we're not talking about economics here. Economics is TSV's observation as to what wins general elections, even though when one person wins a general election against the other, they can't help but to cop an attitude of a "we won you lost" sports event mentality, so he's wondering how economics figures into that kind of attitude. But in any case, it's the non-economic philosophies that TSV sees competing for attention in the primary, and whoever wins the primary he determines -has- to represent all philosophies that had competed, to the point where it really shouldn't be a "competition" to begin with. The only thing the concept of principle is competing against that matters is the scourge of personal corruption. If principle can't win, then it's personal corruption that does so, and that's not something that encourages TSV to want to support a primary victor if he doesn't think that the victor shares his values. It's going to be someone that he tweets and sends letters to on a regular basis for the next 10 to 20 years, and occasionally asking that person's office for help where appropriate, so he figures that that person -has- to share his values, and dispense with the vagaries of both the Antibiden Alarmists and the Bernie Bros if that person is going to be helpful, or just a localized dictator that -trump- only merely wants to be.

Tropical Soulvanglical served jury duty back in April, and I the Happy Bachelor don't distinctly remember talking about it here previously. TSV was expecting a showdown with the system over the concept of principle, and among other things, how it's God's Court that is the only place that matters where ultimate judgment is concerned. So the panel he was chosen for had as a defendant a young man presumably from an inner city neighborhood from the Bronx being accused of four distinct charges that TSV managed to remember from scratch. He vaguely remembers those as being armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, terrorism and impersonating a security officer. Those last two his gut feeling says were B.S., and he had told people a week before jury duty that he doesn't want to be used to condemn a poor kid from an inner city neighborhood to a lifetime of a revolving door in and out of the system when there are people like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake he sees as gaming the system over DUI charges and likely getting a wrist slap and not even having to see the inside walls of a court room. They've got the best legal teams money can buy. TSV has a role to play to make sure young people don't get the wrong impression as to right-and-wrong, so when he told the presiding judge that he doesn't think the system works, and was subsequently excused from the panel, he at least dodged a bullet on being made to render judgment against his values, but that's not good enough. There are any number of non-profits that try to help defendants who face likely unfair trials that he wants to make a donation to and explain to them what happened in court, and how he had to get excused from trial both for the children and the concept of principle. His donation would be the ultimate judgment on the court system itself, and substantiates God's Court as the only one that's going to ultimately matter over the jurisdiction of humanity. So even if -trump- doesn't go to jail, he is already condemned by God's Court for all eternity, so TSV sees it as serving the concept of principle of eventually officializing God's Court's Judgment on -trump- as per the ending of that Jack Chick comic regarding Holy Joe. Oh, by the way, TSV's thinking a lot about Jordan Neely lately, and wants to officialize there too in some capacity in the foreseeable future.

Tropical Soulvangelical sent a tweet to "do-glue" about him getting texts to get him to take all these "polls" and asked "do-glue" to refer those groups to the #SpiritOf46. What he told "do-glue" is that they get all their questions answered at that hash tag that ever mattered. He saw one asking him to take a poll regarding Colbert, even though he stopped following Colbert after Karine Jean Pierre forced Colbert to admit that he was -for- the ousting of Biden in 2024. So he's wondering, what could they possibly want to know about from him if it's not about what Colbert helped do to Biden? Just about every poll that he ever took through a text, and that's pretty much no more than 3 a year by the way, always had as a last question, "WILL YOU DONATE TO US??????" And that's because, -of course- what said poll is always going to be about. So when he gets poll texts nagging him about how "you didn't take this poll," "you didn't take that poll," etc., well, yes, he -knows- he didn't take those polls, because otherwise he'd remember doing so. With that in mind, he wants those groups to tell him what they're getting at. Of course it probably doesn't matter if they don't have a question in their polls, and he's not about to go through each poll with a fine tooth comb looking for it, regarding the Donkeys' ouster of Biden in 2024 and how he felt about it and whether that's the reason why he's not responding to political texts. Because he observes them as being pathologically presentistic, he doesn't think it'll ever occur to them to ask him about Biden. From the point of view of objective market analysis, Biden doesn't sell as a walking commodity like anti-Trumpism does or pro-Bernieism does or general political alarmism. Only very rarely does TSV ever go with something that actually sells, and when he does, it's only happenstance. So he has a response to Morgan Freeman's tweet about the similarities between Hitler and -trump-. Morgan Freeman said things like, -trump- said this and so did Hitler, -trump- said that and so did Hitler. What TSV responds here with is that -trump-Hitler comparisons sell at this time. The fact that TSV doesn't necessarily disagree with Freeman's tweet is beside the point. -trump-Hitler comparisons sell and Biden doesn't. TSV sees that as a pretty objective and understandable analysis and he struggles to remind himself that when there's a bunch of hysterical and alarmist rhetoric going on, as per the emotional language PSA via Hit Pause, it comes down to marketing. By the way, TSV recommends to everyone reading that to check out Hit Pause's PSA about online emotional language accordingly. So if certain things sell, what physically are they selling? Books and merch, TSV figures. There's apparently big money in those things. But with the Morgan Freeman tweet, TSV figures that if we had Twitter in the 1940s, a similar tweet would have said something to the effect of, nobody previous said this thing like Hitler said, nobody previous said that thing Hitler said, because TSV's admittedly subjective analysis of history showed that the reason why "no one saw it coming" is because Hitler was unprecedented. Not anymore, because we're all aware of what can go wrong and TSV figures that that goes a long way from preventing it from happening again, though it should never be seen as the -only- thing one should have to do. But even then, both me the Happy Bachelor and TSV strongly recommend to people that -they- decide which movements they want to join and follow, and not let those movements make those decisions for them. Because if they do, -that's- the ultimate similarity between the movements and Hitler, the 18-25 Pod Save Youthtatorship Of Bernie-merica TSV's talking to you! TSV hopes Morgan Freeman can update his tweet accordingly.
