Tropical Soulvangelical has been sick as a dog with two cold viruses, one after the other, so he didn't feel immediately up to having me the Happy Bachelor comment on the election results. He's still not really well yet, but he wants us to talk about the elections sooner than later. His overall takeaway was that the Donkeys dodged bullet. Everyone's heard of the so-called Blue Tsunami, but because of the War On Biden, it would not have been a meaningful victory to TSV if Biden's endorsees Keisha Bottoms and Dan Koh didn't win their respective races like they did. This defuses some of the anger TSV's been harboring for the Donkeys for the over past two years, but here's another bit of karma. Haley Stevens lost her primary bid and then went and endorsed the Elephantine candidate for the Senate seat from Michigan. Stevens was (and likely still is) a Bidenhater, so that already put her on the wrong side of history from the outset. Her endorsement showed her true colors, so TSV is kind of armed with the narrative that Bidenhater Donkeys are simply Donkeys In Name Only. So TSV likes to think that the War On Biden is coming to an end, but he still sees some loose threads of unfinished business. Firstly, there are still Bidenhaters in government, like Mikie Sherrill, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff and a return to the Senate of Sherrod Brown. People like George Clooney and Jake Tapper are still active and out there, though TSV notes that we really didn't hear Clooney's name this time around, so it's not as if the Donkeys really needed Clooney's name and presence to win. It was the economy, stupid! So any time you don't get a feeling like an economic backlash is going to help you in reelection bids, you always find yourself grovelling to people like George Clooney. Now, TSV firmly expects Clooney and Tapper to change the subject away from their War On Biden so that Donkeys who want to be President starting now till 11/28 might be tempted to avoid answering questions about what they said and did in 7/24 both in debates and town halls in the interim. TSV really wants to know where they stand, but whether or not their stance will influence whom he wants to support he's not sure about yet. TSV also hasn't decided whether he wants a revenge campaign against Bernie Sanders for his attempt at "rescuing" Biden, and undermining the concept of principle TSV sees Biden as basing his whole life on.
