The Tech Comes Of Age Because Of Sex Robots And Electronic Cigarettes. The Bachelor's collective reassurance for the Cigar Assistant over whether there will be an Ebola outbreak in the U.S. any time soon took place back in July or so. That was before those two people came over here with Ebola, and when airports started doing Ebola screenings of people from Africa who came from those countries most affected. Here is a link that pertains to conversations the Happy Bachelor has had about audio.  The Heir listens to Shortwave from time to time, and uses this schedule to know when to tune into Radio Romania, the Voice of Vietnam or Radio Thailand.  Right now he stays away from the Voice Of Russia on principle.  The BBC no longer broadcasting to America on Shortwave seems no big loss to the Heir at this point, since their news programs started going downhill when they killed that Trust Fund in favor of a licensing fee.  But the Heir needs to whine and complain about that in an upcoming episode in detail.  EIBI Shortwave Schedules @ http://www.eibispace.de/.

So here's what we're thinking of doing about a need for a web site.  We're going to try to get those links on the old site copied here on this announcements list, separated into individual posts with Blogger, using the labels function, expanding the announcements list to a shares handle.  With our presence on Mixcloud for as long as it lasts, we assess that we can get some good interactions between this announcements list and the Bachelor audio there.  We're also thinking about how to share the Artifactorial as well, likely in cloudish doc form.  We should discuss this in a Bachelor episode in detail.  The Heir has questions about details.  Stay tuned.

The Heir Wonders Whether The Phrase Emerging Democracy Is Just A Euphemism For A Failed State.  Ever since the crisis in Eastern Ukraine started, the Heir also looked at things like Isis and the momentary conflict in Gaza.  Not to mention Burundi earlier this year or so.  He's concluded that it's just not a good world out there, and that "emerging democracy" is a little too half-glass fuller and possibly misleading.  Nothing's really changed in the past 20 or 30 years.  The Heir also shares his addiction to YouTube, mainly because of his frustrations regarding being made to do stuff he doesn't feel he should have to do, among other topics.  On audio: http://www.mixcloud.com/audiobachelor2/playlists/the-happy-bachelor-1/

We're still planning to find a new web site.  We haven't updated this list in a while, so we just want to put it out there that our updated presence online is not yet complete.  It's still the summer, so things tend to be slow at this time, and that includes the big stuff as well as the small.  Nearly a month ago we did find an audio handler, and we'll see how long it lasts.

The Encouragement The Heir Gets From Carmen And Naomi To Go To A Massage Parlor.  We talk about how authorities went out of their way to talk about sex trafficking during the Superbowl, even though there are numerous parlors up where the Superbowl took place anyway.  The Heir expresses concern that a massage place opening up near where he works might be one of "those" parlors, but Carmen and Naomi tell him that he should still go there if it is, to be adventurous and expand his repertoire in life, and to be sure to ask for extras.  Also in this nearly outdated and long overdue episode, we talk about whether in light of Donald Sterling's racist comments the Bachelor has a possible reputation problem due to its urban image, there likely being a majority around where we live in taking a pro-Kremlin stance favoring Putin's incursions into the Ukraine, and how Bill DiBlasio is becoming known as the horse cart mayor of New York City.  On audio (click on the first play button after the banner ad): http://www.mixcloud.com/audiobachelor2/playlists/the-happy-bachelor-1/

OK, so the Heir didn't hear from our preferred web space company within a 24 hour limit using their admin address.  So he had to crawl back to one of the fad services he had criticized and sign up with them again.  In spite of our cultural misgivings about the service, we got something worked out pretty well there technically, even though it's currently paltry and skeletal.  Seems as though we do have some leeway as to presentation, and hopefully it'll be like this in the foreseeable future when we're ready to use that leeway.  Heir's concerned about that leeway vanishing before then, though, and still unhappy about not being able to properly upload files from a tablet.  He still wants to retain an account at the old school company, because he believes that a stream from therein is the best way to syndicate to a willing shortwave broadcaster if and when we decide to do that.  And now, in our next announcement or so, we'll call out our ready episode we've got on audio.

So more on the adventures the Heir is having getting an audio site set up.  Currently he's pinned his hopes on a generic web site host, old school.  He's hoping that we can retain the audio there while using a front page wiki style service for the web site proper.  The Heir did try a couple of "social media" fad service style audio clouds.  One of them does not allow uploading through a tablet which is what the Heir signed up for in the first place, and he was maneuvered into signing up without being able to easily find out that he essentially can't use the service.  Another service does allow for uploading, but he wasn't able to tap on any of the buttons to make an upload from his tablet or even delete his account.  He had to retreat to his W laptop against his discretion from which he deleted his account because he's sure the site believed that he has no such discretion.  This is why the Heir believes we need to go back to the good ole days of simple web functioning pre-web 2.0, pre-fad.  Because back then the only thing you needed to worry about is getting your site to work on Internet Explorer and a normal browser.  Didn't have to worry about mobile sites or apps or puerile rectangles onscreen or anything.  So again, stay tuned.  Because the Heir hasn't given up!

Well, we tried to get one service to host the audio portion, and it didn't work.  The Heir tried to get all the audio files to work with each other on the service's space, but that service insists on jumbling the web references of the audio files, making it all but impossible to stream them correctly.  Within one hour the Heir created and deleted a new account.  The service wasn't intended as a free web host, so we go back to our list again accordingly.  We've already got content on audio ready to go, so it's just a matter of finding the right host for it.  But the Heir wants to make sure it's a flexible enough host with an actual useful service.  The Heir's afraid that that set of pre-web 2.0 values are going out the window in favor of online bastardization, and is making sure we avoid those, keeping in line with the old school.

Heir switched off this game as well, in the 6th, when Main Team One trailed 3-1, and did nothing to answer Baltimore's relentless hitting.  Main Team One.  Worst team ever.  They let it get away from them just before the all star break and they probably also called it an official game because of rain right when Main Team One might have gotten their mojo back.  Worst team ever.  How can they possibly make postseason at all whatsoever if this is the note they go out on just before the all star break.  And NL will certainly win the all star game like they've done the past five years or so.  There is a serious question as to whether the brand of Main Team One is permanently damaged as a result, and that they'd have to disband.  That question comes solely from the Heir, who has no sports writing or analysis chops whatsoever.
