Tropical Soulvangelical's misgivings about the -realities- of having politicians speak at No Kings' rallies were confirmed with two things he found. One is the situation with Eric Swalwell, and the other is the outright and unnecessary difficulty of finding information with respect to one bit of resistance he -does- want to get involved in, and that's the attacks on mail-in ballots. So with Eric Swalwell. TSV doesn't know whether Swalwell spoke at any of the No Kings' events, but he wouldn't be surprised if he did. TSV as per our previous base share we put out not even a week ago does respect the general background upon which No Kings takes place, along with Presidents not being Kings, but that's where his respect and blank checks end. So TSV imagines Eric Swalwell possibly being one of the more "bleeding hearted" doomsday ultimatum speakers, saying something to the effect of, if -donald trump- does this, that or the other thing, we're all doomed!!! Those extra exclamation points TSV is pretty sure appear on Eric Swalwell's teleprompter. But TSV had already made strong implication that up to 90% of politicians invited to speak at the rallies are trying to divert attention from their own shortcomings. TSV imagines Eric Swalwell for his part after he says, ...we're all doomed(!!!), secretly thinking, boy I hope they don't find out that I attacked those women. So what about the mail-in ballot situation? TSV's been trying to find out what happens when or after a lawsuit gets filed in a district court, because all he knows is that -trump- signed an executive order attacking mail-in ballots and in response attorneys general from 24 states said they filed a lawsuit at the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts. But here's the problem. TSV figures that the web site for the court in MA would have some sort of list of records amidst which is acknowledgment of receipt of said lawsuit, but thus far he hasn't found it yet. So does that mean that said acknowledgment is not meant to be publicly available information? Or is it that the web site is just so arcane, TSV has found, that it'll take him forever to peruse through at least 30 records or so? TSV found there are three district courts in Massachusetts, one in Boston, another in Worchester, and a third one TSV forgets the city of, but the attorneys general didn't mention in their announcement, or at least TSV's own a.g. hadn't announced, which specific court city they filed the lawsuit in. Perusing through the web site isn't like using Google or A.I. You have to bring up -each individual date on a given court's calendar- and scroll through each page to see whether you can find something to the effect of, State1 State2 State3 etc v US, filing of response to -trump's- executive order attacking mail-in ballots. Then you have to do that two times more, one for each city. TSV hasn't found a search field on the site where he can google the filing directly so he can get his questions answered. In the meantime, he sees the media online getting all doomsaying themselves, probably because they, too, don't have ready access to the information despite there being an option on the court site to sign up for press releases, which for some reason only the press and not an actual citizen has access to. Another thing he finds doesn't help is that his a.g. has a Twitter policy of not looking at DMs sent to the a.g.'s office, so that when TSV wanted to send them a word of encouragement and support, they made -that- overly hard to do so. TSV thinks he can find a way around things, but here's No Kings TSV seeing as predicting the end of the world where democracy is concerned, but it's not because of -trump- to have such a thing happen. It's because of outright bureaucracy. TSV finds that so socially delayed, because why don't they have No Bureaucracies rallies? Probably because that would make too much sense.
