Well, we tried to get one service to host the audio portion, and it didn't work.  The Heir tried to get all the audio files to work with each other on the service's space, but that service insists on jumbling the web references of the audio files, making it all but impossible to stream them correctly.  Within one hour the Heir created and deleted a new account.  The service wasn't intended as a free web host, so we go back to our list again accordingly.  We've already got content on audio ready to go, so it's just a matter of finding the right host for it.  But the Heir wants to make sure it's a flexible enough host with an actual useful service.  The Heir's afraid that that set of pre-web 2.0 values are going out the window in favor of online bastardization, and is making sure we avoid those, keeping in line with the old school.

Heir switched off this game as well, in the 6th, when Main Team One trailed 3-1, and did nothing to answer Baltimore's relentless hitting.  Main Team One.  Worst team ever.  They let it get away from them just before the all star break and they probably also called it an official game because of rain right when Main Team One might have gotten their mojo back.  Worst team ever.  How can they possibly make postseason at all whatsoever if this is the note they go out on just before the all star break.  And NL will certainly win the all star game like they've done the past five years or so.  There is a serious question as to whether the brand of Main Team One is permanently damaged as a result, and that they'd have to disband.  That question comes solely from the Heir, who has no sports writing or analysis chops whatsoever.

A little update on our upcoming new home online.  We still don't know where that will be, but I the Mentor and the Heir have been doing some thinking about which bits of content would reside in which types of service.  Our biggest priority is audio, so we believe that's the first change that'll happen.  So once we get a new episode ready on audio, it'll be on that audio service TBD.  We're also thinking about how to look at what we do on the present site conceptually, and we've separated the immersive aspect of the site from the lists of links.  And what we expect will happen is that The Bachelor Presence online will reside on multiple services rather than just one or two.  We intend for The Bachelor Content on the different services to all work together as best as possible.  Again, stay tuned.

Main Team One has got to be the worst team ever, said the Heir as he switches off the tabletop radio to the back of the Swank Lounge.  He's still waiting for the team to start hitting, here in mid July.  If they start hitting in late August, they may have a chance at a 20 game winning streak to put them just one game behind Baltimore by mid September.  But that's still too little too late.  If you're only starting to hit in August and September, it means you should have started doing so opening day back in April.  As cold as it sounds, injuries and climate change affecting team performance is no excuse.  It's time to start counting out Main Team One, and for the Heir to look forward to Lionel Holland's hopeful coaching chops for Brooklyn starting in late October.  Local teams making it in baseball is a lost cause.  Time to look forward post baseball, preferably with Brooklyn but possibly with the Giants to way outperform their last season of less than half.

So we're starting our search for a new home online, and also thinking about things we do that we want to change to make it easier for us while we're at it.  We still dream about getting our stream to play on a generous shortwave station, but we've been doing our updates in a nerdy low level way when there are easier ways of doing it.  We haven't made any decisions, but you'll know once we do.  I the Mentor am encouraging the Heir not to stop helping build the episodes just because we currently can't update the current site.

We seem to be going through a transition where our main web site is concerned that we reference every time we have a new episode.  We don't know what's going to happen there, but keep it tuned here accordingly as to what we eventually decide to do about it.

The Things The Heir Is Nostalgic About From The Nineties. On audio: http://home.comcast.net/~aadams134/thehappybachelor.m3u

Unfortunately, the Heir noticed that the door closing sound effect didn't make it in the new episode.  He's hoping we'll get a chance to correct that in time.

The game's not over yet, but David Robertson has already lost it. The Heir heard a Chevy spot come on, so it seems to him that Robertson should have stuck to selling Chevys.

Nets face elimination tomorrow evening in Miami.  Chris and Tim seem to believe that elimination is all but inevitable.  Well, then, the Heir said last night, it was nice knowing Jason Kidd as a coach, because the Heir doubts that Prokorov will keep him on.  Look what happened to P.J. Carlissimo after the first round of playoffs last year.  Yes, the Heir did rip on Jason Kidd last December, when the Nets sucked.  He didn't think that the Jason Kidd experiment worked, but that was before an incredible January and March, and a fairly decent February and April.  But it appears as though that won't be good enough.  Prokorov will probably bellow at Jason Kidd in a private meeting, saying, "Look I don't care how well the team did in January and March.  What matters is how they sucked in the playoffs.  And we don't care that they defeated Toronto.  They didn't defeat Miami.  And that's the only thing that matters."  He'll give him this kind of talk-down-to lecture before pulling a Donald Trump.

Turns out the Heir was right to be concerned about Odessa, with that tragedy with the fire that occurred a few days ago.  The Heir plans to take on Putin's online trolls, though that won't go on audio until after a couple of months or so, by which time a counter-troll trend is sure to result anyway.  But suffice it to say that if also by that time Odessa and the rest of the Ukrainian coast on the Black Sea falls to the Kremlin, the Heir will swear off all things Russian, and regret the fact that he has to then engage in discrimination.  Of course that's what Putin wants, so that he can make the case as to how fickle and two-faced and immoral and stupid Americans are.  But what choice does the Heir have since just about everyone of Russian heritage seems to have circled the wagons around Putin, and repeated his talking point memos about American hypocrisy overseas?  The Heir will have been cornered.  It's a shame, people.

The Way In Which Lubescocity Brain Teasers Lean Toward The Vanilla Cultural Belief System. On audio: http://home.comcast.net/~aadams134/thehappybachelor.m3u

We haven't done a whole lot of announcements here, because we seem to be putting episodes out faster, so the announcements tend to come out there.  That is, with the exception of announcements about new episodes of course.

After what amounted to a Brooklyn rout tonight, the Heir doesn't believe the Nets can win the next two games, and that elimination is a foregone conclusion.  The Heir believes the Nets were in a position to win, and he was looking for that fourth quarter run in the last 2-3 minutes, and that never happened.  The Nets wasted a rally call from Michael Kay Johnson, and he isn't going to be there in Toronto this coming Wednesday to give the Nets the arrogant sense of confidence they failed to make use of tonight.
