Tropical Soulvangelical beatifies Alexei Navalny as a true man of principle, and he's not going to wait for any church or house of worship to try to do so. TSV waited a while as the coverage of Navalny's -life- continues, and this is his decision. He just wishes he himself could uphold the concept of principle onto the pain of death like Navalny had, but he thinks he could very well bow out at a given inconvenience against which he has no plan of resistance. He never saw Navalny as ever worrying about that, so he condemns both Trump and Julian Assange's supporters -personally- for using Navalny's name in vain. He stands ready to similarly condemn supporters of that one driver who struck and killed a police officer under the influence of drugs and alcohol, along with an anti-cop ideology. Principle also won in court the day she was sentenced to maximum time in prison.

Tropical Soulvangelical's calling for the complete firing and replacement of the present White House Press Corps over their continuing memory attacks on Biden. He also requests that the current members themselves be subject to the same kind of quizzing about countries and their presidents they want to go after Biden for. TSV's pretty sure they'd fail utterly miserably, to the point of not even remembering that Egypt and Mexico are actual countries, let alone the fact those countries have presidents, let alone who those presidents are. What TSV believed happened was that when Biden laid down the malapropism regarding Egypt's/Mexico's President, some Ed Snowden Smartass member of the Press Corps heckled behind Biden's back as Biden turned from the conference something to the effect of, well you -know- Mr. President that President you just cited happens to be a member of a different country. If malapropism is truly a symptom of failing memory in the elderly, TSV estimates that up to 50% of the entire country -in all age groups- would or should be accused of elderly failing memory. TSV hopes that those who struggle with things like memory or malapropism and their families, friends, neighbors and coworkers tear the entire media industry a new one over the industry's ableism and utterly arbitrary standards as to what constitutes memory problems and what doesn't. Again, TSV asks, how does today's media deserve to wear the moniker of the Fourth Estate? What if Ben Franklin, TSV wonders, went after Tom Jefferson or George Washington over -their- memory problems?

Tropical Soulvangelical's wondering how he could have missed the fact that the vote to try to override Eric Adams's veto on the How Many Stops Act was scheduled for Tuesday 1/30. He thought it was scheduled for Monday 1/29 according to how he listened to newsradio earlier the morning of this latter date. The focus was on how that one councilman was stopped by a cop on his way to an exercise that Eric Adams encouraged the councilpeople to take to ride with the cops to see just what the cops have to do and how they have to do it on a daily basis to drive home the point that How Many Stops -will- at least in TSV's view also present a burden on cops. Subsequently the councilman abruptly decided to not to take part in the exercise solely because he was stopped, and TSV appreciates the fact that the councilman was one of the Exonerated. That said, TSV sees there being unanswered questions about the stop, regardless of what the councilman told newsradio. The conventional thinking is that the cop didn't tell the councilman why he stopped him, but that's not TSV's takeaway from the audio playback from the bodycam footage he heard on newsradio. TSV insists that the cop was going to tell him why he stopped the councilman with respect to the tinted windows of his car, but that the councilman interrupted the cop before the cop could get a word in edgewise. Otherwise the cop would -certainly- have told the councilman that he stopped him because of his tinted windows. TSV's not sure that would have mattered because he's pretty sure the councilman would still take it out on the exercise he was driving to and say, I'm not doing the exercise. TSV's fully expecting that to be the -sole determinant- of the city council successfully overriding Eric Adams's veto, thereby affecting the entirety of all cops everywhere in the city based -solely- on that one incident, and possibly indefinitely going forward without even so much as input from the city residents. Though TSV is an Eric Adams supporter, he encourages the councilman to throw his hat in the ring to challenge the Mayor in next year's election if the councilman believes by conviction that he's in the right in his version of leadership of the city over that of Eric Adams. TSV wants to hear why the councilman believes he's better than the Mayor, because TSV's impression that Eric Adams, whether at 28% or 0% approval, cares more about the city than the city does about itself. Because TSV sees strong leadership as paramount in the city, he wants to hear sincere convictions from those who either disbelieve in strong leadership or don't believe it should be a priority. TSV wants to hear them try to defend humanity's inherent inability to take care of itself, and why you can't have an apparently select few who are the collective shepherd. TSV doesn't want to hear the Ed Snowden types try to play a game of Tu Quo Que as a weak non-argument for why such a shepherd has to be a 'perfect' person. TSV doesn't see such a leader as having to be perfect as much as sincere and pursuing the concept of principle as closely possible, specifically in a world that's apparently forsaken such a righteous path. By the way, TSV doesn't want to keep dumping on the protest groups, because it's like beating a dead horse at this point. But he's faith-restored to hear Biden's supporters drown out the Palestine Protestors trying to crash Biden's write-in victory party in New Hampshire. This victory was against a challenger that TSV sees as progressives seeing as the Ed Snowden candidate trying to tell Biden how he's wrong about everything -almost- as much as Trump wants to do, possibly using the same arguments. Just a little side note.

Happy New Year people, and here's something to give you an idea of how Tropical Soulvangical doesn't forget, and how neither anyone else should do so, even after the war is over. The protests stopped getting talked about shortly after the new year was rung in because they didn't stop the ball-drop. There was apparently unprecedented security. That's not to stay the protests stopped happening, but the sticky side of the protests is not lost on TSV. That's about the antisemitic incident at that school basketball game in Yonkers, and TSV's pretty sure that it probably wouldn't have happened if the protests weren't so culturally dominant. Like with Ed Snowden, TSV saw a relative minority speak out, and yet it's the majority that must consider themselves "wrong" just because they don't swear fealty to the minority. Even worse than that is TSV finding claims that somehow the incident actually didn't occur, which he finds inexplicable, and just as reprehensible as that One Percent Claim we talked about. Everyone was in earshot of any comments that were made, since we're talking about possibly just over 100 people all told, as opposed to an NBA game. TSV's pretty sure that if you play back -any- smartphone recording of the event, you -will- hear actual chants. He's also sure that the high school itself made a recording of the game mainly for the benefit of the local school media for people wanting to keep up on how well their school's teams are doing. TSV's also hoping that the school doesn't try to claim that the incident didn't happen and then get caught having tampered with the recording, and he's also hoping that the protest community didn't put undue pressure on the school to both tamper with the recording and claim the incident didn't happen. He's thinking it's possible that maybe the recording was made with an auto-swear-word-blanking-bleeping system, so slurs and epithets he's pretty sure are included in the list of words that might get auto-bleeped out. So he doesn't think the school should look at a bleeped tape and then say well how can anyone say any slurs when they got bleeped out anyway? He thinks you have to use common sense and say that the slurs -were- there to begin with if they had to get bleeped out. But worst of all is him seeing it being the "progressive" thing to do these days to turn a blind eye to antisemitism of pretty much any kind. Apparently that's what you're expected to do if you believe in things like affordable care and a living wage. He thinks they'll actually make that conflation, and that's because he didn't forget either Ed Snowden or the progressive politics of 2006, or how he previously had to lose a job partly because he didn't swear fealty to either.

Tropical Soulvangelical finds this 1% business reprehensible, because it attempts to mitigate the protest vandalism that's been done, while giving protest leaders an out from apologizing for the vandalism or making amends accordingly. How does TSV and the rest of us know it was only 1% anyway? That claim TSV finds coming from just one source, and that source is unknown. But here's one way to intepret the claim that TSV doesn't think the protest leaders have considered. If truly only 1% of protestors engaged in vandalism, that TSV finds also means that 50% of -any- person engaging in such protest could end up doing vandalism. You either end up doing it or you don't. TSV has noticed the 1% statistic being used elsewhere in history, mainly by intellectualist types to essentially browbeat the commoner with, so that's what makes him skeptical. Another thing TSV finds this 1% statistic does is avoid discussion of the insults and defamations that were made which TSV will not forget, even years after the war is over. He doesn't see anyone trying to suggest that a mere 1% of protestors engaged in insults and defamation, maybe because that's a lot harder to prove. If there's ever an attempted reconciliation between the two different sides of demonstrators, TSV finds the inevitable usage of the 1% statistic to be a non-starter.

Now that Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of domestic abuse, Tropical Soulvangelical believes this should give Amber Heard motivation to challenge what is effectively a lifetime gag order. TSV sees her as still having free speech rights, and most certainly on a justice topic such a domestic abuse. TSV wants to have her back once she acts accordingly, and TSV believes in the continuation of the boycott of Johnny Depp. TSV hasn't forgotten what happened, the same way he hasn't forgotten what happened with respect to Lafayette Square and Paul Manufort. TSV continues his proclamation of Paul Manufort as guilty as sin, and refuses to recognize Manufort's pardon. He sees the courts as outright failing in the case of Manufort, so he doesn't see why he shouldn't take matters into his own hands. Same thing with Lafayette Square. The courts failed there too, and TSV believes the Justice Department has to concede in that case, regardless of what the courts say about whether the assaulted protestors in Lafayette Square should be able to sue. Those protestors TSV thinks should refuse to serve jury duty until the courts make a complete concession, and until that concession happens TSV thinks they need to condemn the courts through their government reps, whether that's in Washington or their own home states or municipalities. TSV supports justice for the Lafayette Protestors from four years ago, and hence the courts TSV sees as deserving a black eye until they concede in the cases of the Lafayette Protestors, Amber Heard and Paul Manufort. TSV also maintains his solidarity for Ukraine regardless of whether Europe or the US agree on a timely defense package for them. Possibly more to come there.

Now that apparently Politico has determined that the New York Times unfairly weighted its anti-Biden poll roughly a week and a half ago, Tropical Soulvangelical has vowed to outright disbelieve -any- poll that doesn't have Biden in the lead on something. This is because despite the Politico bombshell, TSV is still hearing anti-Biden polls on newsradio. If this keeps up, TSV will call for an investigation into the polling companies, because he wonders what's going to happen if Biden wins very handily next year? That just might happen, and once it does, TSV will be at least among the first the tell off the polling companies, whom TSV expects will deliver a post-Biden victory low polling at 40% as of December 2024. So it'll be 40%, 40%, 40%, oh Biden won 55-60%?, next poll 40%. TSV did come across -one- poll, not reported in the news, apparently either Rutgers or Harvard or Reuters, that did show Biden ahead by 7-10 percentage points on not just whom would you elect, but whom do you trust better, whom do you believe solves problems better, etc. Otherwise TSV is looking to Dewey Defeats Truman type headlines next year. He's thinking that maybe at least one poll that insists on being anti-Biden would ask people if they believe economics are more important than democratic health, or if they'd elect a dictator if they're led to believe that such a person will help them with their economic problems, even if said dictator has -never- put out an economic plan, just a dictatorship plan. How many anti-Biden pollsters TSV wonders would ever try to go there? And if they don't try, are they not truly finding out what people really think? And if not, why should anyone -ever- trust their polls?

Henry Kissinger recently died, and just within the first 24 hours Tropical Soulvangelical has heard reporting of criticisms and accusations of "war criminal." But there are two things of note TSV finds. Firstly, there's that old age adage that says you're not supposed to talk ill of the dead. Secondly, as far as TSV knows, Kissinger has never been put on trial, so where due process goes, how can anyone accuse him of a crime? TSV's not going to delve into whether Kissinger was a war criminal or not, but he finds the apparent posthumous criticisms and accusations a possible precedent going forward in terms of people TSV himself is waiting to die before he pronounces a posthumous guilty verdict on them. If you're able to do that with -someone- why limit yourself? TSV doesn't entirely know how the election will turn out, but he sees it as an OK thing in one outcome whereby he marks his calendar for January 21 2029 for when he -really- comes after people, and then again when said people die. If it's not fair for dead people not to be able to defend themselves in a court of law, TSV asks, how is it fair for -living- people not to be able to defend themselves against said criminals if death of said criminals is the only way for non-criminals to get justice? TSV isn't saying specifically which people he will promulgate a posthumous guilty verdict on, because he's waiting for them to die first before he does so. Otherwise it wouldn't be posthumous.

Tropical Soulvangelical doesn't believe he should have had to find out through the grapevine about the weightedness of social polling. In a sense this is a followup to my The Happy Bachelor's base share from roughly a week ago, but now what TSV heard first thing this morning on the radio is what sounds like political plant analysis on business radio saying something to the effect of, well because people are having a hard time making ends meet in the era of Biden, only Trump shows leadership on economic issues. So firstly to TSV this is kind of the politicians' Plan B now that they were caught plying social polls, and he prohibits people from thinking there's any more credibility here than in said polls. Secondly, this whole business of Trump Shows Economic Leadership TSV finds without substance, because there's been no announcement anywhere on any newsradio station about Trump having a specific plan for the economy. How can you show leadership in an area in this specific election cycle, TSV asks the analysts, if you don't even have a plan. The only plan TSV sees is Trump apparently wanting to pardon every single criminal that's ever existed, including very likely Sam Bankman-Fried and Rex Heuermann. TSV's sure the response to that is, well, business leaders who commit crimes demonstrate courage in taking economic lead, because we -need- criminals! It's the only response TSV thinks the analysts can come up with, which predicates on the inherent immorality of the age TSV's been warning people about. If criminality is truly what makes the world go round, maybe TSV figures he can run through ten straight red lights and tell the cop that pulls him over not to give him a ticket because running through red lights is his way of making the world go round. If Trump can do it, why can't I? Because after all, officer, that's what that analyst said on the radio second thing in the morning. In this hypothetical situation, the traffic ticket the cop hands you is by itself proof of the analyst being wrong, and how, no, criminality does -not- make the world go round, and in fact helps bring the world to an end, as per Revelations. TSV then would email a soft copy of his ticket to the radio station, telling the radio station, this traffic ticket literally says You're Wrong!

Here's the latest hash tag you're either going to, or going to -need- to, see more of, amidst all the borax drinking and subway surfing, and that's #NeverCindy. Tropical Soulvangelical doesn't consider himself A Post person, but he does give them a momentary helping of thanks for making him wise to the vagaries of Cynthia Nixon whose picture gave a speech at a podium with what he points out is a patently untruthful accusation that Biden -himself- is starving the people of Gaza, and not Hamas, and her apparently taking the side of the fake blood splashers, the vandal handprinters and mob crowds making both students and teachers fear for their personal safety. This is because TSV fully expects Cindy Nixon to announce a run for Mayor of New York for 2025 in an exploitation of bad press Eric Adams has been getting. TSV does not have enough information regarding both the alleged Turkish connection and this harassment lawsuit to make an arbitrary judgment against Mr. Adams's character, so as far as TSV's concerned, neither does anybody else. That's of course not to say that further info isn't going to be eventually made available, but he's concerned that since the lawsuit has been filed, no other accusers have come forward, credible or otherwise. Normally a person filing a lawsuit has the right to have their complaints heard, so TSV doesn't think it's necessarily just He Said She Said. TSV would prefer that Adams opt for a settlement that also allows him to not to have to "admit" to wrongdoing, instead of his keeping on talking about the lawsuit. TSV fully understands that Mr. Adams feels it's an attack on his character, but until any other accusations come forward, TSV looks upon a quiet settlement as his best option. TSV doesn't think there needs to be added fuel to the fire that is the latest Ed Snowden in the form of Cindy Nixon whom TSV observes thinks next to nothing to engaging in defamation of public figures trying to restore a sense of right-and-wrong for the children after such had been nearly irreparably damaged by Ed Snowden 2013, Forced Obsolesence 2014, Power Of Positive Thinking 2015. TSV's already pointed that out as per why he's supporting Israel, and why he advises Eric Adams with the respect to the lawsuit as a reasonable condition for supporting Mr. Adams against the personally corrupt likes of Cindy Nixon. #NeverCindy

Tropical Soulvangelical has proclaimed the need for journalistic standards when it comes to certain kinds of polling and economic reporting. First on the polling. TSV's proclamation is for there to be properly weighting of the polls rather than a cave into confirmation bias. Otherwise, he doesn't see the polls as having either informational or social value for the whole populace, as opposed to being served as red meat to a collective of political factions that clearly don't represent the reality of popular opinion. So even after you do that and you -still- get a ''finding'' of well Only 40 Percent Of People Favor X, why not poll those that favor that thing to find out why, and what -their- point of view is, and what their views are regarding that which TSV sees amounting to Tyranny Of The Majority. Second, economic reporting, and again TSV sees the need for there to be the same dive-down wisdom, and proper weighting. If you do your proper weighting, and you -still- get the same reporting of economic hardship, find out whether it's because during the Power Of Positive Thinking 2010s in which TSV was forced to lose a job when the economy was Doing Great for everyone else, those reporting hardship now engaged in an ongoing spree of discretionary spending that didn't leave anything in the way of an emergency fund or savings of some sort. TSV sees something wrong when someone's breaking the speed limit with a black and windshield tinted SUV turning into a mansion style property with the bumper sticker of something to the effect of "I'm Poor And I Blame TSV's Guy For It Whoever That Is." There are many reasons why TSV was forced out of that job, and one of those was that even in the face of a Doing Great Economy, he still made the point of saving as best he can, because that's the personally responsible thing to do. Otherwise, what have you got to say for yourself on Judgment Day? But because he saved, the loss of that one job is clear to him as a form of social retaliation. Also, TSV says to watch out for insinuations. "Hunger has increased"? Well does that mean to say that it's Person X's fault? TSV advises extreme caution on how we're reporting certain things.

Tropical Soulvanglical makes a request to Columbia State University -not- to cave into the 250 professors, and -not- reinstate those two groups. Accordingly, TSV is making the case that contrary to what the 250 appear to claim, CSU's policy towards the two groups is -not- a form of censorship. It's not censorship to make sure students aren't harassed by people slamming on library doors behind which the students felt like they had to hide, like what happened at Cooper Union. TSV doesn't want the Ed Snowdens to think he's ever going to forget that. In any case, the two groups are free to demonstrate off-campus to their hearts' content, and TSV's pretty sure they've already done so, telling from the amount of fake blood splashed upon the New York Times building, and whatever level of harassment the Pro-Israel groups in Washington DC may have had to cope with this past week. TSV reminds people that Homeland Security raised the alert level for that event not because of the Pro-Israel groups, but because of the counter-protestors expected to show up as well. TSV hasn't heard what the turnout of the latter was, but he's sure it was all ugly all the same. CSU TSV finds an interesting school. Their hospital system has advertised on newsradio as providing a recovery service for those trying to get away from pot now that the legal status of pot has made recovery even more of a necessity than ever before. TSV wishes other hospitals would follow suit, and though he's pro-survivor, he wonders whether the latest harassment accusations against CSU would not have materialized if it weren't for their pot recovery services. Every campus has to decide on how to best assure the public safety of its students, teachers, staff and visitors, and TSV sees CSU as no exception. That said, TSV isn't ready yet to go pro-CSU until he's sure they stand by principle against the peer pressure presented by the 250 apparently reinforcing flaky intellectualist stereotypes explaining away the clear and present danger presented by certain groups by claiming censorship.

Tuesday, November 14, 2023

Amidst all the continuing violence and vitriol and possible implication in bias incidents engaged in by the Ed Snowden types, Tropical Soulvangelical identifies Eric Adams as yet another likely target of theirs. TSV believes that Mr. Adams was right to laugh off talk of resignation as well as requesting that the FBI refrain from making further leaks, partly because TSV sees the Ed Snowdens once again trying to say See We Told You So or even I Already Won in gloating over the situation with Mr. Adams. TSV wants to nip it in the bud that the Snowden types who want the Mayor's job will hold the investigations as "proof" of how "wrong" the Mayor's views are regarding being tough on crime, dedicated devotion, and concerns about the moral health of young people. TSV fully expects the Snowdens to use the investigations to falsely conclude that morality doesn't matter as well as Tu Quoque. If we ever do have an Ed Snowden Mayor in New York succeeding Eric Adams as a result of what may or may not happen, TSV doesn't particularly need to wait until an Ed Snowden Mayor themselves fall under investigation to point out how corrupt the Snowdens are, and not just in the nature of their protests right now. He sees their overall cynical mentality as corrupt enough, and generally disqualifying them from public leadership where children and families look up to for guidance.

Tuesday, November 7, 2023

Today was a very special Hail Mary listening for Tropical Soulvangelical in light of the poll that was conducted yesterday. Hail Mary just by itself has a lot to unpack with respect to what one is praying for and about and why. While not disregarding the other elements in the prayer, including the forgiveness element, TSV had originally come to this prayer because of the human race's failures to take responsibility for itself in the post-pandemic world. The pandemic, TSV sees it, should have been the moment where the human race pleads mea culpa to a larger power for its sins in the 2010s, including but not limited to an overrespect to a radicalism such as that having been started by Ed Snowden, participation in and advocation for forced obsolescence, and the hubris of the "power of positive thinking." It's clear to TSV that with this poll, this plea never truly happened on the scale it should have. Apparently after most people got vaccinated, they generally saw their obligations null and void. They may have been vaccinated against Covid-19, but they were not vaccinated against their immorality. As a result, TSV is not only -in- the minority, but is effectively -the- minority in preaching for a basic right-and-wrong amidst the populace. He will still continue to do so, in the obligation to spread the good word to all good nations, despite the fact that the populace he's preaching to now regards him as an "enemy" since there's no other intepretation of the poll's results. If anyone were to try to tell TSV that it's just about politics, TSV isn't buying it, and sees that explanation as evidence that anyone who says such a thing simply doesn't get it. This is also why TSV is skeptical of assumptions made by the concept of "democracy." One of those is that if, as per the poll, roughly 60% of people are against a thing, and you yourself are one of the 40% that's for it, the 60% is automatically right and you as the 40% are automatically wrong. There's only one that can make such a determination, and as such for inherently immoral human beings to think they can make that determination is the fruit-bearing-tree-knowing for TSV that this amounts to taking a holy name in vain. That's why you hear such a thing as Tyranny Of The Majority, and it's far more real than one might think. Beyond this, it's only a higher power that TSV sees as pronouncing judgment in time, but it's clear to TSV that in coming years we will see a severity that will effectively dwarf the pandemic, that is, -if- the trends in the poll continue through and after future elections. TSV has no idea what that upcoming disaster will be, and we do read that no one will know the exact day or time, and that it'll come like a thief in the night. But TSV hopes that until then that while the rest of the immoral populace has made him a pariah, there's one at least that's higher and bigger than that populace that reminds him that he is still loved, and to hold fast to his human obligation no matter the adversity the populace now presents.
