Tropical Soulvangelical joins with the solidarity of Ukraine on the second anniversary of the war being done on it. For TSV, though, this also involves taking Chuck Schumer to task for both his Debbie Downer stance and his everything-depends-on-one-thing stance. Just because Vlodimir Zelensky told Schumer that "it's over" if they don't get the Federal aid package TSV doesn't see it making it so. TSV reminds people as per both Scripture and all other lessons of global faiths that hope is inherent to the righteous path. When you know you're on the righteous path, TSV reminds people there will always be hope. And now the Debbie Downer bit. TSV believes that Chuck Schumer saying something to the effect of "if this doesn't work it's over" only helps Mike Johnson, because then TSV sees Mike Johnson as saying, well my thoughts exactly, because I'm trying to make it -not- work so therefore -making- it an over thing. Once Mike Johnson makes this response, TSV doesn't see -anything- changing his mind. No amount of pro-Ukraine/anti-Putin protests outside of any of Mike Johnson's offices TSV sees as swaying him in any capacity, because TSV sees Schumer as giving Johnson the one unbreakable geometric proof he needs to -never- bring any Ukraine relief/aid to the House floor. As a side note, TSV doesn't see any of the protest groups we saw last year like the climate protestors or the Palestine protestors join in with solidarity with Ukraine in any significant fashion that could possibly change Johnson's mind. He'll just say, no, I'm sorry, I'm just not doing it, no matter what anyone says, so just go away already. TSV strongly urges those pledging solidarity with Ukraine to look beyond the Federal aid package and instead look to other options to help Ukraine defeat Putin once and for all. TSV suggests the appropriate charity paths, whichever ones those are, and which have passed verifiable scrutiny. TSV also suggests international action on part of state and local governments, and urges them not to only think about themselves and not just pragmatically, but also convictionally. Where there's a will there's a way, TSV reminds people, and the one thing TSV reminds people as being most at stake with respect to the survival of Ukraine is the moral health of our young people, and having them prefer the righteous path over the path of personal corruption any day.
