So for those of you following The Happy Bachelor Shares Base (supported by Blogger), you've mostly endured and/or followed the Heir's latest social outrages, informed by the his skepticism of the moral state of society at large.  We want you to know that within the next few days to a couple weeks or so (hopefully it won't take long), we'll be migrating both this shares base and our (eventual return to) audio content toward the main themes of principle and a simplicity and meditative state of mind we've called "tropical soul."  There will still be Happy Bachelor type content consistent with the four pillars of sex, classiness, music and food, but we're finding that as society at large descends deeper into personal corruption, we just cannot sit by the sidelines and merely do a complaint du jour.  We need to make a more formal stance over the long term in favor of things like tropical soul and principle.  Definitely know the title of this shares base will change to accommodate those things, along with a separate announcement page explaining the history of where this upcoming migration is coming from and what to expect in the foreseeable future.  That said, you may be interested to know that while we've been going in this general direction for some time, the Heir's come to a dead end in his making of his DIY audio player using a particular type of computer board, and it's become clear he needs to use another type he's been seeing online.  We'll spare you the technicals to let you that what this has to do with our upcoming migration is that we would have preferred to put the migration off till the Heir gets a useable player that replaces anything mediocre that comes off the shelf.  He's been at it for three years, and frankly that's a long time to put off standing for the cause of principle.  He'll still continue going DIY with the player and other things, and we're still looking to get back on audio, maybe in some kind of alt broadcast on an offline analog basis, since we've been oriented and informed by audio mainly on terrestrial analog radio.

Keep it tuned here as we embark on an "exciting" new chapter in what we do.

The Alpha 1 that the Heir got me the Mentor to write about in late March ran into problems, and as is the Heir's wont in such matters, he redid nearly a third of the components, and has certified an Alpha 2, and that's as of 6/16/21.  The Alpha 1 is still historic as it stands as the first test unit of the Tropical Soul Player capable of seriously playing on its own.  But it didn't last because of power compatibility issues.  So now we have Alpha 2, and after the Heir gets a spare battery, he'll feel confident about restarting those field tests we talked about back in March.  One of the Heir's takeaways is that simplicity and reliability wins out time and time again against sophistication and edginess.  The concept of sophistication, both with big tech and with the Heir's experiences with the player, is emerging as a marketing term for convolutedness.  It doesn't matter to the Heir how much marketing big tech does and how many consumers are sucked into believing the marketing, because there's no denying some age-old axioms.  Keep It Simple Stupid.  If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It.  And where edginess is concerned, that's just another term for riskiness.  It may be appropriate enough for the casinos, like the one in the state neighboring Bachelor Blue State, but it's *not* appropriate for real life.  We in the Bachelor believe that today's naive public who gush about the glamour of "gaming" should really rethink their stances.  1-800-GAMBLER exists for a reason.  You'll notice it doesn't read 1-800-GAMING.  No ifs, ands or buts: "gaming" is gambling.  So, people, stop gambling your lives away, and start actually *living* them.

The Heir certifies that as of 3/26/21, what he now calls Tropical Soul Player (TSP) is ready for testing as an "alpha" unit.  There's stuff he wants to fine-tune the player with, but he has to have the basic build before then, and now he does.  This is his DIY player, which we used to call our Third Pillar Player.  He's already done all the building and debugging.  So now what he needs to do is a kind of "field testing" by playing it in normal usage.  He wants to test it at home before he's ready to test it on the road in his opera lights vehicle.  So stay tuned as per what the next couple weeks or so ahead implies for the Bachelor.

The Heir believes it's time for a likely final assembly on his player.  Everything else appears to be done.  We did a share on his player last month, and we thought it was going to be days rather than weeks, but the Heir made sure to take his time to make sure everything was right.  Keep in mind that this is a beta version of the player.  He wants to get back to it at the right time post-beta, but we're also hoping that once this beta is actually running on a regular basis, we'll be able to make some sort of bookend statement of conclusion to the great era of personal corruption in the culture that's happened nearly the past decade.  So here's that player pending that assembly:

So here's the current pic of that Third Pillar Player the Heir has made available for me the Mentor to post here on our shares base.  The Heir's been working on it for roughly four years as the central element in his Bachelor Recovery from the personally corrupt 2010s.  When we asked him when it's going to be done, he couldn't give an exact ETA, but said to think of it in terms of days, not weeks.  I the Mentor think it's been nearly three years since we've put out an actual episode on audio, because the Heir needed time to get with the Player.  It was priority number one all this time, but we're hoping we can get back to doing actual episodes on audio sooner than later, as opposed to just doing shares on this base.  Also expect us to make a declaration in some form for when the Heir's Bachelor Recovery is over, and the meaning of the Recovery as a response to all the things he thinks went wrong in this culture in the past decade or so.

Another dead rocker.  The Heir went through a Prince phase until his peers started questioning the Heir's masculinity.  Then he stopped.  Also the Heir hasn't forgotten how Bob Geldof went after Prince for not making an appearance at Live Aid.  1985 was not such a great year for Prince, and it took him until Batman in 1989 before he got respect of the world again.  And now, no one remembers how they ripped on him.  Big difference 31 years makes.  Though the Heir is not a Prince person, Prince will still be missed all the same.

The Heir feels like Robert Plant's protagonist does as linked below (via the radio pic).  But, no, the time has not come around yet.  And the Heir doesn't have a time frame for when that will happen.

There haven't been any new episodes thus far for a couple of reasons, but we're hoping that will change at some point.  For one thing, the Heir is still having sex therapy for his non-sexual economic problems, therapy courtesy of Leeanna and Lucinda, and he wants that to go on audio at some point.  Also the Heir's been working on the The Dance Program, and he's getting very close to a beta, so he no longer has to deal with lack of reliable music podcasts (i.e., *feed* casts, not streaming).

When you get a chance, please tune into our new episode.  Because we have to remind ourselves it's not *this* year's primaries, it's *next* year's primaries.  So with that out of the way, the Heir is pleased to announce that the mp3 player is alive and well, that it hasn't been killed by the streaming fad.  I the Mentor lists below some player models that have been introduced from February 2014 to September 2015 that the Heir found.  He likes the fact that most of these accept at least a 32 gig card, and even a 64 in some cases!  Many of them are getting fairly good reviews on Amazon.  He's not sure how far they go back in supporting older systems like his, and he wants to know what kind of significant niche is keeping the mp3 player alive.  But seems all is good for the time being in the portable player world.  (Meanwhile, he's also keeping a breast on the radio situation as well.  We provided a list of that earlier this year or sometime last year).  It all goes to show that there's still good stuff out there.  You just need to look.  Mp3 Players Are Alive And Well @ {http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Player-Screen-MicroSDHC-SDMX24-004G-G46K/dp/B00HCMZ0OK/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DFV68DBB37YSY8X0KFX, http://www.amazon.com/Elecmall-Economic-Mp3-Mp4-Player/dp/B013DPF59Y/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DFV68DBB37YSY8X0KFX, http://www.amazon.com/Tomameri-Portable-Player-Viewer-Recorder/dp/B012Z9PZJE/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DFV68DBB37YSY8X0KFX}

Very remotely related to the audio portion of the Third Pillar, the Heir sees great promise in emerging White Space tech for the Internet.  Though he's wary of the possibility of unintended consequences, he also believes it'll revolutionize mobiles in terms of cost to both the consumer and the environment.  He sees contract broadband with mobile as wasteful and not very responsible.  So it was a joy for him to read about how an indigenous society in California is adopting White Space partly because they believe impact on culturally sensitive environmental areas will be minimal.  One of these fine days, the Heir hopes, White Space will make its way to Bachelor Blue State, both densely populated and materialistic, and possibly the last state to adopt White Space.  California’s Yurok Tribe Takes Advantage of White Spaces Technology @ http://www.radioresourcemag.com/newsArticle.cfm?news_id=7126

Here's a cool radio the Heir saw on YouTube.  He likes the vinyl-ish texture, as well as the double-mat speaker grille.  The shortwave band can be swapped out for the weather band, and with an aux band button swapping out the tone knob on top, and he's got something to bring with him to that beach that's conformant with Carmen's preferred dress code.  He'll have to re-watch the video to see whether the carry handle gets in the way of the buttons.  1960 Sudfunk @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ570UrhdSs

The Heir was perusing around radios on Amazon, and was delighted to see that they're still making analog radios with slide rule displays, even now in the 2010s.  I the Mentor made an allusion in our recent episode (see below, or run the Audio stream as per the link on this shares base) to a personification of the replacement belief system that we've spent almost the entire Year Of Nominality in decrying and challenging.  The Heir's able to tell that personification to put it in its pipe and smoke it with these great looking radios, even though the Heir appeals Buyer Beware to everyone here, and do research.  (Mostly) 2010s Slide Rule Analog Radios @ {Kaito KA350GY (2010), Kaito KA210 (2014), 12 Band World Radio (2013), Kaito KA228 (2011), Aweek R-909 (2014), topAlert Weather Radio (2011), Coby CX-38C (2001, not recent)}

Here's another radio the Heir enjoyed seeing on that radios YouTube channel.  It's a European LW/AM/SW radio from the early 1960s, which has city captions in what the Heir believes to be the longwave band.  It's of an Art Deco style, and the speaker grille has an elegant rhomboid shape.  The brownish colors of beige, brown and gold go together very well on this radio, but there's also black, white and silver for the grille.  This radio's able to bend the classiness rules of not using more than 2-3 colors per artifact, because the speaker grille is perceivable by the observer to be a separate artifact from the rest of the radio somehow.  1963 Schneider Troubadour Radio @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAZk1UBYikg

So here's another radio on that radio channel on YouTube the Heir noticed quite early on.  This to him qualifies as a "scientific radio," because it's a red needle in a white slide rule, and red objects on a white background tend to be science type colors.  At some point the Heir also wants to share his music playlists with the music/audio dynamic, and not just radios with the information, but again, it's best we do that when we get that document base up and running, and we don't know when that's going to be.  But keep reminding us as to how many times we say that, because then we can go back to these shares, and find out what we wanted to put in the eventual document base, besides a synopsis to the Artifactorial.  BTW, our current episode was just updated a couple of days ago with the audio stream, so be sure to catch that through the stream link On Audio.  But with the German radio, the Heir has also noticed how the stereo grating uses holes that are at 60 degree angles with each other, very similar to how Eton and other radio makers still do so today.  And this radio was made 40 years ago.  So don't let anyone tell you that one thing has to replace another, because there are those tried and true traditional and classy designs you go back to.  ITT Schaub-Lorenz Touring Studio @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wu5CGt0LzQI&list=PLGHMwzSPjMfku9coMuvOeQ_WpVu7YA0Hb

Please listen to our new episode when you get a chance.  Info is in an announcement below this share (enable All Posts or equivalent), and you can also stream through the streaming link.  But good thing we finally got around to making those permanent pages here, or at least starting to.  Because now we can actually start sharing things as per "Shares" in Announcements And Shares, and have it make sense.  So because the Heir's getting discouraged that he couldn't find traditional slide rule portable radios in the general store ideal pharmacy he goes to, he was doing an images search on "sony radios."  That cheered him up a lot, but he still thinks we need to get slide rule radios back into those smaller general store ideal stores, and that that whole cutthroat store shelf culture (economics-based) should accommodate for this very real sociocultural need.  Some radios he thought were particularly interesting were a Sony Ericsson AM/FM phone (since phones almost never do AM), a DAB that is a little more akin to the reminiscent design standard and a yellow emergency radio (now discontinued) with a white slide rule display set inside a rubber frame.  What the Heir likes the best about the radio phone is the potential for pay-as-you-go phones (and not just contract-/monthly payment- only) to contain both bands.   Sony radios @ https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=sony+radios

So here's a video about that organ/radio combo the Heir wants to talk about in an upcoming episode.  Initially he was going to say that he wishes we'd organize stuff here well enough so meaningful shares can get made.  But now that's no longer a problem, so then he'll have to say so accordingly, and whine and complain about something else in the world.  But we do expect it'll be on audio he'll talk about this particular radio, so we'll leave the details on audio accordingly.  He subscribes to this video channel, so he'll say what else from that channel he can share.  1974 Panasonic Radio / Synthesizer @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grpCKGKuhNk&list=UU1165x8QRmNOeP9fmogFNHg

Here is a link that pertains to conversations the Happy Bachelor has had about audio.  The Heir listens to Shortwave from time to time, and uses this schedule to know when to tune into Radio Romania, the Voice of Vietnam or Radio Thailand.  Right now he stays away from the Voice Of Russia on principle.  The BBC no longer broadcasting to America on Shortwave seems no big loss to the Heir at this point, since their news programs started going downhill when they killed that Trust Fund in favor of a licensing fee.  But the Heir needs to whine and complain about that in an upcoming episode in detail.  EIBI Shortwave Schedules @ http://www.eibispace.de/.
